SHOUTcast Auto DJ
Introduction
The SHOUTcast Auto DJ server allows you to broadcast to a SHOUTcast server automatically. You can upload music files, then set the Auto DJ server to playback those files to your SHOUTcast server.
Uploading Files Via SCP
To upload your music files, use the SCP "File Manager". When you upload a file it is automatically added to the "autoplaylist.txt" file
Uploading Files Via FTP
You can also upload files using FTP. This can be easier for uploading many files or large files. You'll need an FTP client, such as FileZilla. The details you need to connect are shown on the SCP "File Manager"
Playlists
A playlist file is a list of files to play. You should have 1 file name on each line of the file. Filenames are case sensitive. You can create this in a text editor and upload it via the File Manager or FTP. An autoplaylist.txt file is generated when you upload files via the File Manager. This contains all files with a ".mp3" ending that you have uploaded.
Configuration
To configure your SHOUTcast Auto DJ, login to the SCP control panel and click on "Configure". You'll need to ask your SHOUTcast server provider for details of the IP address and port number to setup.
